After 25 years of success and more than 20,000 lives impacted, the three centers are being overhauled and their programs upgraded to offer an enriched curriculum consistent with world-class standards in afterschool education. The goal is to double the student population across the three centers to 4,000, with each focusing on a different area of specialization.
The Gulamerian Foundation is supporting the Children’s Center in Malatya, which will focus its programs on the visual artists. Reflecting the Gulamerians’ lifelong dedication to art and their commitment to bettering the lives of children, the Foundation’s support of the Campaign is specifically focused on helping renovate the art studios and workshops, equip them with essential art tools, supplies and equipment, and support the development of a new and enhanced arts program, including workshops, guest instructors, and an innovative curriculum. Once the new program model has been developed and tested, the program could be introduced at other Children’s Centers, including the Gulamerian Youth Center in Ashtarak.
